Last reviewed 30 September 2026 · A plain-language list from the Budgeteen Privacy Policy (updated August 21, 2026). The policy is the binding text.
Budgeteen keeps almost everything on your phone. Money logs, goals, lesson progress and job applications are stored on the device by default, and Budgeteen does not sell personal data. A few optional features send limited information when you use them. This page lists each one, taken from the Budgeteen Privacy Policy.

When you report a listing
Learn Anything request (your typed topic, an age band, a short aggregate money snapshot such as week left and envelope spent-versus-budget totals)
OpenAI, with DeepSeek as a fallback
Only after you accept the consent prompt. Providers may keep data under their own terms.
Old Pro check (anonymous app user ID, purchase history for that product, subscription status)

Without a configured network endpoint, parent invite and reporting stay on your device.
What Budgeteen never asks for or shows
Never asked for: bank logins, card numbers, Social Security numbers.
The parent link never shows amounts, transactions, notes, goals or anything you made in a Studio.
A portfolio never shows files you made, client names, your age, your email or where you live.
Learn Anything never sends individual transaction notes, free-text goal titles, or your name beyond what you type in the topic.
Analytics and ads
Budgeteen does not sell personal data, and it does not sell teen data to advertisers or data brokers. The core app does not require selling ads against your private money log. If privacy-preserving analytics are ever added, Budgeteen will update the policy before turning them on and avoid sensitive finance details in any aggregate numbers.
Children under 13
Budgeteen is designed for teens 13+ and isn't directed to children under 13. It doesn't knowingly collect their personal information. If a child under 13 has used the app, a parent can email support@trybudgeteen.com for help removing local data.
How to export or delete your data
Export a local data snapshot from Settings (when available). Delete local data from Settings, which removes the profile and related records from that device. Uninstalling also removes that install's storage. Stop a parent link from the Parent invite screen, and delete a portfolio from the app. For a parent-invite or portfolio record you can't reach from the device, email support@trybudgeteen.com. For the safety side, read is Budgeteen safe, and for the binding text, read the full Privacy Policy.
Budgeteen data questions

What does a parent see through the Budgeteen parent link?
The optional parent link shows your first name, your streak, which of the last 8 weeks you logged money, your skill track, stages cleared and briefs passed. It never shows amounts, transactions, notes, goals or Studio work. It expires after 90 days without activity, and you can delete it anytime.
